Before setting up your device, gather the following:
- Your Trezor® device (Model One or Model T)
- A USB cable to connect the device to your computer
- A secure internet connection
- Pen and paper to write down your recovery seed

🛠️ Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Step 1: Connect Your Device
Plug your Trezor® into your computer using the USB cable. You’ll be prompted to go to Trezor.io/Start® to continue the setup.
Step 2: Install Trezor Suite
On Trezor.io/Start®, you’ll find a secure link to download Trezor Suite, the official wallet app.
Download and install it for:
- Windows
- macOS
- Linux
Once installed, open Trezor Suite to begin the setup.
Step 3: Update Firmware
If it’s your first time using the device, you’ll be asked to install or update the firmware. Trezor Suite will guide you through this automatically.
Step 4: Create a New Wallet
You’ll be prompted to:
- Create a new wallet
- Choose standard or hidden wallet
- Generate your recovery seed (12, 18, or 24 words)
Important: Write down your recovery seed on paper and store it in a safe place. Never take a photo or store it online. Trezor® will never ask for your seed.
Step 5: Set a PIN
Choose a secure PIN to protect access to your device. You'll enter this PIN every time you connect your Trezor®.
